Mojang is talking the next game drop of "Minecraft" to the skies as the company revealed the upcoming content coming to the sandbox game which will feature fresh experiences.
The developers call this "Chase the Skies," and flying will be one of the biggest new additions to the game, with the developers claiming that this will bring more than the anticipated flying mount.
'Minecraft's' Next Game Drop: Chase the Skies
The team behind "Minecraft" has officially announced the next game drop coming from the company, calling this new experience "Chase the Skies." Before "Minecraft" players take flight, the team shares the massive experiences that are set to arrive in the game, especially with the latest mechanics needed to join the new aerial adventure.
One of the biggest additions here is the "Happy Ghasts." These are the unique creatures that users need to begin their flying adventures all around the map, but instead of being objects, these are living things. However, the challenge here is to find one's Happy Ghast to use for their flying adventure as one of the clear-cut ways to obtain one is through a trip to the Nether.
The ghasts are known to be one of the enemies in "Minecraft," and they are the floating mobs that are hostile when spotted. However, instead of being angry at humans and trying to kill them, they are transformed into the new Happy Ghasts for flying.
How to Get Your Happy Ghasts For Flying?
The new item, the dried ghast, is essential to obtaining the Happy Ghast that users need for their high-flying adventures in the game, but they first need to overcome the menacing conditions, monsters, and more found in the Nether.
However, if this proves to be a little too challenging for players, Mojang's team said that players may craft their own Happy Ghast instead, and it will only require them to craft a dried ghast using a soul sand block and ghast tears.
The dried ghast are dehydrated blocks that are usually found near fossil structures in the Nether, and users only need to leave their dried ghasts by leaving them in the water at the Overworld.
What Is Coming With 'Minecraft' Chase the Skies?
After rehydrating one's dried ghast, it will turn into a ghastling that users need to nurture first by feeding it with snowballs and taking care of it before it becomes, well, happy enough to join users on their adventures.
Mojang also announced alongside this that players may now be able to enjoy a "Leash" functionality that can tie creatures together for their next adventure, joining the new leads. "Minecraft" is also adding a new item to craft for their journey across the Overworld as users may now create saddles to put on horses using only 3 leather and1 iron ingot.
Alongside this, the new Player Locator bar also arrives alongside the upcoming update which lets users easily find their friends or anyone roaming in their world. Users may crouch to avoid being detected by the locator bar.
