Mirror’s Edge Catalyst is just about to release (June 7), so that means it’s launch trailer time. The last Mirror’s Edge Catalyst trailer gives a glimpse into Faith’s backstory, and can be viewed above.

While there’s really nothing new in the trailer, it is exciting that we’re so close to seeing a new Mirror’s Edge game release. As we can see in the video, Mirror’s Edge Catalyst will be a reboot to the franchise, detailing the early years of Faith Connors, and how she came to be where she is now.

If you haven’t heard, there will be several gameplay changes coming to Mirror’s Edge Catalyst. The biggest change is the move to an open world, with Faith running from mission to mission while finding sidequests, races and other surprises along the way. There will also be no guns allowed this time, instead forcing players to take on enemies with only melee attacks.

Mirror’s Edge Catalyst debuts June 7 for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Those on Xbox One get to start playing as early as June 2 if they are EA Access subscribers.

So what do you think? Are you excited for Mirror’s Edge Catalyst? Did you play the original one on PS3 or Xbox 360? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
