Mortal Kombat X, the best fighting game of 2015 btw, is getting a re-release and it’ll be packed full of DLC goodies past and present.
NetherRealm Studios announced they will release Mortal Kombat XL, a re-release of the highly successful Mortal Kombat X, but with all of the character and costume DLC from 2015 and early 2016.
Here’s the official Mortal Kombat XL announcement trailer.
The contents of Mortal Kombat XL are substantial. It will include the first Kombat Pack that had the first four DLC characters, Jason Voorhees, Tremor, Tanya and Predator. It also includes all of the Cold War costumes, Klassic Skins and some limited edition skins like the Steel Blue Sub-Zero.
And Mortal Kombat XL will include everything from the upcoming Kombat Pack 2 so players won’t miss out on Alien, Triborg, Bo rai Cho and Leatherface.
But what the MKXL trailer also shows fans is the gender bending Sub-Zero and Scorpion skins that will (presumably) be available on Jacqui Briggs.
NetherRealm Studios has done this kind of re-release before. In 2013, the studio did a re-release of Injustice:Gods Among Us, which was re-released as Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition and included DLC skins and characters.
The release date for Mortal Kombat XL was not announced but we will update as soon as we learn more.
