The first season of Mr. Robot left us with many questions. First, it was the knock on Elliot’s apartment door -- a cliffhanger that lasted through most of Season 2. But it was the post-credits scene that really set up Mr. Robot Season 2, or should we say Stage 2. It’s hard to forget the image of Phillip Price and Whiterose sitting by the fireplace while a harp plays in the background “watching Rome burn” together. Take a look below:
Mr. Robot will continue the trend in Season 2. During the final moments of a post-Emmy’s interview with The Watch podcast on The Ringer Network, Mr. Robot director Sam Esmail confirmed there will be another post-credits scene in the Season 2 finale.
“Here’s what I will say, 'cause I’ve listened to every episode of The Watch , you do want to stay, from what I’ve heard, you will want to stay after the credits. That's all I'll say,” Esmail teased.
The Seaon 1 post-credits scene solidified the fact that Whiterose and Phillip Price (China and E Corp) have been working together all along. The Mr. Robot Season 2 post-credits scene will hopefully foreshadow something just as critical, especially considering none of our 1000 burning questions have been answered fully thus far. Let’s just hope Esmail has a satisfying ending up his sleeve...and a post credits scene as compelling as last year’s.
Watch Mr. Robot Season 2 finale tonight at 10 p.m. on USA.
