During PlayStation’s press conference at Tokyo Game Show, Koei Tecmo announced a new crossover game between its IPs in a new fighting game called Musou Stars.
Alongside the announcement -- via Anime News Network -- was a teaser trailer for Musou Stars starring some of Koei Tecmo’s most popular IPs like Ninja Gaiden, Dynasty Warriors, Dead or Alive and Toukiden . Take a look at the Musou Stars teaser trailer below.
While it seems Musou Stars may be an answer to Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros ., it’s not a fighting game but a hack-and-slash game like the Musou games, Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors.
The confirmed titles included in Musou Stars are Ninja Gaiden, Dead or Alive, Atelier, Dynasty Warriors and Toukiden.
The upcoming Berserk video game will be the latest Musou game, which will feature characters from the Berserk manga/anime and will release in Japan on Oct. 27.
Not much else about the game was revealed, but we will learn more as we get closer to the release date. Musou Stars from Koei Tecmo will release in 2017 for PS4 and PS Vita.
