The latest issue of Weekly Jump has revealed the Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Trilogy, the port of the first three titles in the franchise, will be coming to the Nintendo Switch in Japan, letting players to duke it out on the go.
ShonenGamez got a look at the issue and a scan of the page with information on the trio of games coming to Nintendo’s hybrid system. The scan reveals the game is called Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Trilogy and includes a few images from the game. Check out a small peek of the scan in the ShonenGamez tweet below.
Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Trilogy includes Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2, and Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3. The Weekly Jump scan also confirms Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Trilogy will include all the DLC for all three titles.
The most recent Naruto title, Ultimate Ninja Storm 4, was released in 2016 and completed the story of Naruto Shippuden. The game also included some content from the Boruto movie, which includes many of the next generation of ninja. An expansion called Road to Boruto was released in late 2016 that included a new substory and characters from the new Boruto manga and anime. A new game, Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker, will bring online team battles to the franchise when it releases later this year.
With the confirmation of the Ultimate Ninja Storm Trilogy Japanese release, it’s likely only a matter of time before the collection makes its way around the world. Bandai Namco has begun to port over past games over to the Nintendo Switch, including Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 and Pokken Tournament DX, both released in 2017.
