More than 30 names were officially confirmed for the WWE 2K18 roster this week, as part of IGN’s annual roster reveal series , including the only in-ring performer we specifically requested last week. There are still plenty of notable omissions, including former Smackdown Live Tag Team champions The New Day, Enzo Amore and the recently injured Big Cass. Still, the game is well on its way to delivering one of the most star-studded rosters in WWE 2K history.
Last week, IGN kicked off its annual WWE 2K roster reveals with nearly four dozen names from the 2K18 roster. The first set of WWE Superstars to be confirmed for the game include some big names from professional wrestling’s past, present and future, including the Bushwhackers, the Bellas and Akira Tozawa. But we knew there would be plenty more names added to the list before everything was said and done. Visual Concepts and Yuke’s have crammed more than 100 WWE Superstars into the last several WWE games, so it was safe to assume the first 47 names were just scratching the surface.
This week, IGN’s roster reveal series continued with another well-rounded group of names from the WWE 2K18 roster. Several WWE Legends, including the late, great Eddie Guerrero and Larry Zbyszko, join current talents like Sasha Banks and Roman Reigns. And there are plenty of up and comers, some from the NXT roster, others still looking to make a name for themselves on Raw or Smackdown. That said, a few names from IGN’s big reveal weren’t actually new, like John Cena and Brock Lesnar, but most of the names announced this week were solid additions to WWE 2K18.
