Update: Diablo Community Lead Adam Fletcher reached out to Player. One to confirm that "the dev team is aware and looking into the issues."
Every update released to a game can be a double-edged sword. For one, it can be a huge upgrade to the game’s aesthetics or performance, giving players another incentive to enjoy. But every once in a while, it can also work the other way around – and that is exactly what happened to the latest Diablo Immortal update.
The newest update for Blizzard’s mobile game called Terror’s Tide adds hefty content, but players noticed that they are always being kicked out of the Sanctuary. The update for the action RPG game quickly became the main reason behind many players’ disappointment and irritation.
The latest Diablo Immortal update is huge, and a content drop like this is definitely expected to come with bugs and server issues. Ever since its release, players have been experiencing disconnections every now and then, even if they manage to connect, they’d get disconnected from the Sanctuary right away.
A Reddit post shouts, “Blizzard, Fix the Servers!” It looks like most of the disconnects are being experienced by players in NA. Not only that, a handful of features have started to get glitchy, too. The reporting system is not working, chat functions are disabled, and players randomly get disconnected while in the middle of Battlegrounds.
The issues occurred countless times already ever since the latest Diablo Immortal update. Players have also reported the game's official help forum, and one of them claims to have experienced getting disconnected four times in an hour. Another reports that they could not even load the game because it crashes constantly.
As of this writing, Blizzard has not released an official statement and a fix for the said Diablo Immortal update. There is no doubt that this is a server-related issue, especially since a huge content drop like this would mean a deluge of players connecting to the game. Hopefully, with how quickly the number of complaints has surged, the devs would notice and fix the issues. For now, players have to wait and may want to steer clear from playing the game as they would have a hard time connecting anyway.
