Bandai Namco clarified its launch plans for Ni no Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom this week, detailing a pair of Collector’s Editions for the first upcoming JRPG. The publisher also confirmed plans to release multiple expansions, which means a Ni no Kuni 2 Season Pass is on the way too.
There aren’t many surprises from either of the physical Collector’s Editions being marketed by Bandai Namco and Level-5. There’s an $80 bundle, known as the Premium Edition, featuring the Day One edition of Ni no Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom, a SteelBook case, a papercraft ki and some other NNK2-related goodies. There’s also a significantly more expensive version of the game, the $200 Collector’s Edition, which includes a visual arts book, a rotating Chibi diorama, a Lofty plush and all of the Ni no Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom DLC. The more expensive bundle will also include all of the same physical goodies found in the Premium Edition.
Launch day won’t be the end of the cycle for Ni no Kuni 2, either. Bandai Namco says Level-5 will release two sizeable expansions for the game, each of which can be purchased separately on Steam or PSN. Fans can also spend $19.99 on a Season Pass, assuming they didn’t get one with the Collector’s Edition, to get a slight discount on the post-launch content. Season Pass owners will also get access to a special supply kit that Bandai Namco says will be stocked with “a healthy heaping of items hand-picked for the discerning adventurer.”
