The latest Nintendo March Direct event came as a surprise for many, particularly as the company already designated an April Direct event for the Switch 2. However, this latest showcase focused only on games.

That is not yet the most surprising thing here as the company has announced that two PlayStation games from Sony are heading over to the Switch platform.

Nintendo Direct March 2025: 2 PlayStation Games Coming to the Switch

As the world awaits the Direct event dedicated to the Switch 2, which is scheduled to take place on April 2, Nintendo has shocked the world by announcing that it will soon bring two new games from Sony's PlayStation to the original Switch.

Despite the many titles that were announced by the Kyoto-based gaming giant during the event, its announcement of the two PlayStation games coming to the Switch stood out.

This is because these games have long been PlayStation exclusives and were never shared with other platforms, including the PC. While Sony did not develop these titles, Sony Interactive Entertainment owns the license for these two titles and has control over their availability and distribution.

The two games that were announced during the Direct event, courtesy of Sony Interactive Entertainment, are "Patapon 1+2 Replay" and "Everybody's Golf: Hot Shots." These games are not the regular AAA-rated exclusives from PlayStation, but they are still PlayStation exclusives which marks the expansion of Sony to other platforms.

'Patapon 1+2 Replay'

The collection of two titles from the "Patapon" franchise may have made its way to the PlayStation before, but it is now heading to the Nintendo Switch thanks to this latest announcement. "Patapon 1" was released in 2007, and it was immediately followed by "Patapon 2" in 2008, and this has garnered massive praise from the industry since its release on the PlayStation Portable.

"Patapon 1+2 Replay" brings the rhythm adventure game to another handheld gaming platform in the form of the Nintendo Switch, and it will be available come July 11 via the Switch's eShop.

The game centers on a tribe of creatures called the "Patapon" where the player is seen as "the Mighty One" or their leader who will help them find the Holy Drum through a series of challenges, monsters, and more.

'Everybody's Golf: Hot Shots'

"Everybody's Golf: Hot Shots" brings a brand-new entry to the franchise that has been exclusively available to Sony's console since the PS1.

The game centers on anime-like characters competing in different golf matches. There is still no exact release date for "Everybody's Golf: Hot Shots," but it was revealed to be set for release sometime this year.
