Nintendo’s E3 presentation this year is shaping up to be one of the company's most anticipated ones.

To kick off more excitement for its fans, Nintendo has now announced more details regarding its playable titles on the E3 show floor, as well as some more events scheduled for before and after the main E3 presentation.

Playable Titles

There will be five new upcoming titles that will be playable at Nintendo’s E3 booths. These include:

  • Pokémon Sword
  • Pokémon Shield
  • Luigi’s Mansion 3
  • The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening
  • Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order

Of course, there are also a number of already released games that will be playable, but Nintendo’s press release didn’t state these titles specifically. Notably absent, however, is the upcoming Super Mario Maker 2, although that title will be featured at the Nintendo US Road Trip for this year. More details on upcoming Nintendo Switch titles will be dropped during the Nintendo E3 Direct presentation, which is scheduled for June 11 at 12:00 p.m. EDT. In addition, more games will be revealed during the Wednesday and Thursday Nintendo Treehouse: Live events.

Check out some more events Nintendo has planned for E3 below:

  • Game tournaments – Starting on Saturday, various teams from around the world will compete in multiple Nintendo Switch games. These include the Super Mario Maker 2 Invitational 2019, which airs at 2:00 p.m. EDT. This event will be followed by the Splatoon 2 World Championship 2019 and the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate World Championship 2019 3v3 tournaments.
  • Nintendo Direct for E3 2019 – The next Direct episode following the Pokémon Direct last June 5 will center on the latest and upcoming titles for the Nintendo Switch. The presentation will air on June 11, at 12:00 p.m. EDT. You can watch it on Nintendo’s YouTube and Twitch channels.
  • Nintendo Treehouse: Live – The staff of Nintendo of America’s Treehouse will host a livestream direct from the company’s E3 booth, which in turn will offer its viewers live gameplay plus commentary. The show starts on June 11, immediately after the E3 Direct presentation. For the next two days, the Treehouse: Live show will start at 12:00 p.m. EDT. The Treehouse: Live for June 13 will be a special one, as it will focus entirely on indie games. You can watch these livestreams on Nintendo’s YouTube and Twitch channels.
  • Nintendo Early Access at Best Buy – Do you want to play upcoming Nintendo titles but can’t make it to E3 this year? Nintendo’s got you covered, as the company announced that it is partnering with Best Buy to bring the upcoming Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order to 80 Best Buy locations across the country. Attendees will be the first ones to play the title, which is slated for release on July 19. The early access events are scheduled to take place from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on June 12, and from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on June 15. All times are local, depending on the location of your participating Best Buy. Check out more details regarding the early access event here.
  • Nintendo NY – Fans in the Big Apple won’t be left out for this year’s E3 celebrations, though, as Nintendo will bring its E3 event from Los Angeles to New York. Fans nearby can visit the Nintendo NY store for a variety of activities, including viewing parties for the tournaments, E3 Direct and the Treehouse: Live shows; hands-on with select Nintendo titles featured at E3, plus some premium giveaways. The events are free and open to the public, although they’re on a first-come, first-served basis. Check out more details here.
  • Warp Pipe Pass – It’s E3, and thus you can expect – if you’re attending – long lines to play Nintendo’s latest titles available at their E3 booths. You can, however, reduce your wait time by signing up for a free Warp Pipe Pass, which allows you to gain priority access in line to play. The Warp Pipe Pass is available only while supplies last, so check it out here.
  • Nintendo eShop Sale – What’s E3 without a sales bonanza? To celebrate the biggest gaming event of the year, Nintendo will be offering discounts on select digital Nintendo Switch and 3DS titles on the eShop and on the main Nintendo website. The sale officially kicks off on June 11, at 1:00 p.m. EDT and will run until June 19 at 3:00 a.m. EDT. The list of discounted games will be made available on Nintendo’s official website, which can be found here.
