Reports say the Nintendo NX reveal will be coming in October but before the naysayers and pessimists come out to say that the new console won’t be revealed until 2017, a new report has surfaced from a Nintendo of Europe rep reconfirming that NX will be shown off in 2016.
In a post on the Nintendo Developer forums from September, spotted by reddit user GamoTron21 , Nintendo of Europe representative Ulysse Richert-Botte reiterated that Nintendo will publicly share more information on the console “within this year.”
Take a look at the screenshot below.
With the end of the year quickly approaching, and no NX news to speak of, fans are becoming wary about whether Nintendo will reveal its next console before the start of 2017.
The date on this particular post is from Sept. 5 and a lot could have changed from then until now, but with The Wall Street Journal's report and now this affirmation that the Nintendo NX will be shown off before the end of 2016, fans should not have to wait too long to see what the future of Nintendo will look like.
The Nintendo NX will release in March 2017 with the only confirmed game for the system being the upcoming Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild for both the Wii U and NX.
Reports do say that a Mario and Pokémon game will be on the NX, which the CEO of the Pokémon Company confirmed back in September.
So what do you think of the Nintendo rep’s affirmation that NX will be shown off before the end of the year? Let us know in the comments section below.
