Nintendo Switch battery life definitely isn’t great, but a good external battery pack can solve that problem fairly easily. The experts at DigitalFoundry recently analyzed three of the best options, and the results may surprise you.

While there are lots of battery packs on the market, not all of them do an especially great job powering the Switch. Here are the three products in the current analysis.

Anker Powercore 10,000mAh Portable Charger: This Ankor Powercore is small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, and it only costs $28. In terms of battery life, you’re looking at about six hours on medium brightness in addition to whatever’s available on the Switch internal battery. That should be good enough for most travel situations. [ Buy ]

Lumsing Glory P2 15,000mAh Portable Charger: With 15,000mAh you’re going to get more life, and it even comes in at a cheaper price of $21. The 7.5 hour threshold is pretty nice, but it’s tradeoff is slightly less portability. In contrast to fitting in the palm of your hand, this one compares closer to a graphing calculator in size. It’s not going to look great, but it’s a good value regardless. [ Buy ]

RavPower 26,800mAh Portable Charger: This one’s about the size of a graphing calculator too, and it’s got some extra girth to it when compared with the Lumsing. For the current price of $50, however, you can get around 12 hours of Switch time with the brightness dimmed. That’s a lot more gameplay than most folks ever need, but at least you’ll never have to worry about battery duration while you’re playing. [ Buy ]

In case you’re curious, All three packs charge via a standard USB, but you’ll need a USB to USB-C cable to plug it into your Switch. This is the same cable used to charge the Pro Controller. All three options slowly charge the system too but not in a meaningful way.

Nintendo Switch is available now for $299.

Which of these three battery packs is the best accessory for your habits? Is the standard Nintendo Switch battery good enough for you? Tell us in the comments section!
