People have wanted to know more information about the Nintendo Switch ever since it was announced last month. While few confirmed details have been released, we have a few leaks including the screen size for the Switch controller. Using this information, YouTube user The Phawx released two videos showing how big the new console could be.

It is important to keep in mind that this is far from the final design of the Switch. The way The Phawx came up with the model, according to the video, using Nintendo press shots of the Switch, scaling them around the idea that the screen is 6.2 inches. The thickness of the model is a guess based on similar devices that use 3.5mm headphone jacks. You can see how his model compares to other devices like a Wii U gamepad, PS Vita and New 3DS XL in the video below.

As for the joy-con controllers, The Phawx made a separate video to highlight what they could end up looking and feeling like as well. The Phawx notes that the controllers are definitely small, and gaming on them could be a concern for those with big hands. A good size comparison given was when you used a Wii-mote, but only used the D-pad and A button.

As for the thickness of the joy-con controllers, The Phawx says they are almost exactly as thick as a classic NES controller. Again, the thickness of the console is more or less a guess at this point, so we’ll have to wait and see how accurate this video ends up being.

Regardless of if this video ends up being true or not, it’s still fun to see how big the Switch could end up compared to other devices. Not touched on in the video is another major factor: the weight of the Switch. Depending on how powerful the device is and how big the battery will be, the Switch could end up being pretty hefty.

More more official information on the console, we’ll have to wait until the big Nintendo Switch event in January.

So what do you think? Are you concerned to see the joy-con controllers looking to be so cramped? What do you think of the rumored 6.2 inch screen? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
