Nioh 2 just got a little bit better. The timed-PlayStation 4 exclusive received Update 1.21 that brings some minor changes to the game. While there's no new content, some skills have been tweaked, and dozens of bugs are fixed.
The Splitstaff Active skill, Changing Ways, got nerfed. Its Ki consumption is up and the damage is down. However, Ki Damage has been increased so it’s not all bad. The Dual Swords Active Skill, Spinning Dragon, is now much more reliable. It should deal with enemies more consistently than before.
The update also increased the duration of two special effects. Empowered Ninjutsu and Empowered Onmyo Magic. The rest of the changes are bug fixes. You can read about them on the official Twitter post below.
If you are a PS4 player and a fan of Souls-like games, then Nioh 2 is a must-play for you. You can also choose to wait for the PC release. As mentioned above, Nioh 2 is a timed-PS4 exclusive. The game is supposed to launch on PC and PlayStation 5 on February 5, 2021.
What’s great about the PC version is that there are no multiple editions. You can only buy the Complete Edition for $50 and it will include everything. The game is definitely worth it. It received critical reception from both fans and critics. Even the campaign is more than 50 hours long. The original Nioh is also available on Steam. Try that one first before getting the sequel.
Unfortunately, Xbox players can’t play any of the two games. That’s one more exclusive title that PlayStation doesn’t want to let go of. If you like Samurai/Japanese types of games, then check out our previous article about 6 Of The Best Samurai Games You Should Play.
