Like any big game released in the past few years, No Man’s Sky is filled with players looking to find exploits and cheat. Don’t worry, we are too. That’s why we’ve found a way to duplicate any item in your inventory with a few easy steps!
NOTE: This is clearly a bug, and is likely to get fixed in a future patch. Exploit it as much or as little as you want until then.
Duplication Bug
To copy any item you want, follow these easy steps:
Have whatever item(s) you want duplicated in your ship’s inventory, not your suit inventory
Land on a space station, the game will save when you exit your ship
Get back in your ship, fly out into space and get killed
The easiest way to do this is to exit the space station and turn right back around and start shooting at it. You'll cause a whole hoard of Sentinals to attack
Once you respawn, press the Option button and reload your previous save
If you check your inventory once you reload, you should have everything you did before getting killed
Go out into space, find your grave, and collect your duplicated items
Make sure you have the slots available in your ship, otherwise you can’t pick up your items

It’s that easy. This method has been confirmed to work for now, but could easily get fixed in a patch. We will report back if and when the fix ever comes.
