No More Heroes 3 was first released on Nintendo Switch in August 2021 and had received generally favorable reviews. Like in the previous games, this one puts players in the role of otaku hero Travis Touchdown. He has come to the realization that being the world’s top assassin is no longer what it used to be. However, he has been forced out of retirement to defend Santa Destroy and Earth. For Travis, it’s not just a test of might but also to prove that he’s more than a washed-up has-been.
To make all this possible, Travis needs to reach the top of the Galactic Superhero Rankings and prevent the evil Prince FU and his ten alien assassins from taking over Earth. It’s not going to be easy since a steep fee is needed to be paid to enter each subsequent ranked battle. That means Travis needs to take on different missions to get the money to join the fight. Once the required amount is reached, an invitation to the next fight is sent. The good news is that with the customizable Death Glove, players can take violence to new extremes and punish those deadly invaders with combat that suits their style.
