You aren’t the only one experiencing problems if you downloaded last night’s Geforce GPU Nvidia drivers for The Division . There is no clear reason as to why problems are occurring, or what computers are affected. Players with different CPUs and models have been experiencing a wide range of problems including audio issues, computer crashes and black screens. Some users think it has something to do with a multiple monitor set-up or having an upgraded Windows 10.
Nvidia is unaware of why this problem is happening on the 364.47 version of the driver and is looking into solutions. It says the issue has to do with players who use “express” installation and recommend using a custom- clean installation. If the problem persists, Nvidia recommends uninstalling the driver using Windows-safe mode and reverting to a previous version of the driver.
A new driver was released Tuesday morning on the Nvidia website will hopefully fix these problems. Version 364.51 is still in beta, but should fix all the problems the last driver had. Last night’s driver was initially released to make the Division and a few other brand new games run as smoothly as possible, but has instead essentially bricked computers. Hopefully, this new driver works as 364.47 was intended.
