The One Piece: Burning Blood game finally has a release date attached to it. Bandai Namco announced Burning Blood will be coming to the Americas on May 31 while Brazil will have to wait until June 3.
One Piece: Burning Blood will be available on PS4, Xbox One and the PlayStation Vita on those dates while PC Gamers will have to wait for June to get Burning Blood on Steam.
Bandai Namco also announced nine new playable characters that will be joining Burning Blood in May. These nine characters will be joining the cast and “Paramount War” mode. In this story mode, players can relive the excitement and drama of the Marineford Arc from the anime and manga series.
Here are the nine new playable characters in One Piece: Burning Blood.
Edward Newgate, AKA “Whitebeard”
Marco
Jozu
Jimbei
Luffy (Before two year time skip)
Nico Robin
Nami
Perona
Boa Hancock
The additional Burning Blood characters bring the roster to a hefty 28 characters and with the release date still months away, it’s likely more will be added before players get their hands on the new One Piece game.
Burning Blood will have 3-on-3 battles and if you are familiar with the format of the Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm series, the battle mechanics will likely take a lot from it.
