Claire and Jamie had a rough time of it in the Scottish Highlands in Outlander Season 1. After both of them escaped imprisonment and torture, they’re still no closer to preventing the Battle of Culloden waiting to wipe out the Scottish clansmen just a few years in the future.
Saturday at 9:00 p.m. is the Season 2 premiere of Outlander on Starz. However, the season premiere is already available for Starz On Demand users. The service is $8.99 a month and can be set up on mobile devices or tablets using either the App Store or Googe Play.
If you’re an Amazon Prime user you can watch the Outlander premiere for free, with a 7-day free trial of their Starz subscription expansion.
Season 2 will see them take their case to France, where the Jacobite wannabe king Bonnie Prince Charlie might just be persuaded to change his disastrous course. As Claire and Jamie struggle to change the future they’ll also be coping with a relationship complicated by Claire’s pregnancy and the traumatic aftermath of Jamie’s rape by Blackjack Randall.
Not only will the season premiere go to the royal courts of France, but Claire will also step back into 1945 to reconcile life with the husband she left behind in her modern day.
Outlander Season 2 looks to radically expand the scope of the series, as it adapts Diana Gabaldon’s second novel in the Outlander series, Dragonly in Amber.
