Overwatch 2 beta is now in full swing, and the developers have launched a new patch that brought balancing adjustments to certain heroes.
Doomfist and Symmetra got some notable buffs in the latest beta update. Doomfist’s Power Block now only requires 90 mitigated damage to empower his Rocket Punch. Moreover, the movement speed penalty while blocking is reduced to 35%. Besides that, his Rocket Punch now deals damage to all knocked-back enemies instead of the first target hit. This change is pretty significant, considering that a carefully placed Rocket Punch can knock almost the entire enemy squad back.
Symmetra mains will definitely love the changes made to her kit. First, the time it takes to fully charge her Photon Projector’s alt-fire has been reduced to just one second; its projectile radius is also increased to 0.5 meters. As if that’s not interesting enough, the teleporter’s cooldown is reduced to just 12 seconds, from 16 seconds. This is noteworthy since four seconds is a lot of time in a fast-paced game like Overwatch 2.
Aside from buffs, there are also nerfs and Junker Queen is one of the affected. Her Commanding Shout ability, for example, got a few adjustments. For one, the radius has been reduced to 15 meters. On top of that, the bonus health to allies now decays over its duration. The only positive thing here is that its duration is increased to five seconds (from four).
