'Overwatch' Christmas Event: There's Snow In Kings Row And Magic In The Air

It’s Christmas time in Overwatch , you can practically hear the bells on El Dorado chiming a festive tune. There were rumors an Overwatch winter holiday event was on its way and now it’s been confirmed. The PlayOverwatch Twitter account posted this gif to Twitter on Tuesday afternoon.

On Dec. 13, a new event hits the Overwatch servers. Like the Halloween “Junkenstein’s Revenge” before it, expect new skins, reskinned maps and maybe even some extra experience or special loot boxes. The card in the gif also features King’s Row covered in snow, so like the Halloween event in El Dorado, there should be new textures on Britain’s favorite fighting ground. Extra points if Tiny Tim appears in one of the windows.

Here’s what I want out of this Christmas event:

• Torbjorn Santa Claus skin, where his turret comes out covered in Christmas lights.

• Too Much Egg Nogg Reinhardt, where he swings around a chimney in a wifebeater and sweatpants.

• New victory poses filled with holiday cheer, including Mei and Zarya enjoying a hot cocoa (they could really use some warmth in their lives).

• Ana and Reinhardt voice line about kissing underneath the mistletoe.

• When Reaper uses his ultimate, he says “ho, ho, ho.”
