If you’re excited about Path of Titans , we have good news. A closed beta is scheduled for July 27 on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and mobile platforms.
Path of Titans is a cross-platform massively multiplayer survival game where players take on the role of a dinosaur. You read that right. Everyone starts from an egg and evolves into an adult in an ecosystem with 26 dinosaur species and other AI-controlled creatures.
Key features of the game are:
- Explore a huge and dynamic environment filled with AI critters and quest zones, to name a few.
- There are caves available that can serve as a home base.
- You can play the game solo and shape your own path.
- Team up with friends to become a herd and take on in-game events.
- Character Customization
- Unlock skins and alternate species of each dinosaur genus.
- Change the individual colors of your dinosaur character and apply alternate subtle markings.
- Choose between multiple species of your favorite dinosaur where each comes with unique visual characteristics.
- Questing and Events
- Complete quests that reward immersive cooperation.
- Unlock achievements to collect exclusive in-game content.
- Do different activities like:
- Collect materials to build nests to sleep in.
- Hunt different rare critters and PvP dinosaurs.
- Forage for hidden plants.
- Defend members of the herd.
- Survive natural world events that shape the landscape.
- Attributes and Abilities
- Spend points to alter abilities and attacks to customize the character to your preferred play style.
- Swap out one of the bite attacks for a claw attack or a tail swipe.
- Lower HP and damage in exchange for more stamina and faster movement.
- Swimming, Diving, and Fishing
- Be able to submerge fully underwater and hunt for AI fish while avoiding being eaten by prehistoric crocodiles.
- Lurk just under the surface and lunge out of the water to surprise unsuspecting prey.
- Travel through the complex redwood river system and explore the depths of the swampy lakes.
- Make the most of the environment to survive as a semi-aquatic hunter.
The game also allows modding via powerful tools that anyone can download and use for free. There is also extensive documentation available to those who are new to modding.
In a statement, Alderon Games co-founder Matthew Cassells shared that they'll be releasing the Founder's Edition during the closed beta launch. He added that they hope to bring a lot of new players to the game. The Founder’s Edition allows players to find and build a home cave within Panjura, which is the first of several 8x8-kilometer maps.
Path of Titans is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Android, and iOS. A version for Nintendo Switch is under development to be released later this summer.
