Persona 3: Dancing Moon Night and Persona 5: Dancing Star Night are coming to Japan next spring. Atlus Japan

On Wednesday, Atlus announced two new Persona spinoffs -- Persona 3: Dancing Moon Night and Persona 5: Dancing Star Night. Both games will come to PlayStation 4 and Vita in Japan in spring 2018.

Persona Central reports Atlus launched a joint website for both Persona dancing games, on the heels of recent rumors claiming a new spinoff title was in the works. Now, we know we’re getting two of them! Atlus has paired the games together on the site, suggesting that the two games might overlap in terms of story and/or get a simultaneous release.

As yet, there’s no official word when or if a Western release will happen, but we’re pretty sure it’s a safe bet. The Persona 4 spinoffs made their way overseas, and Persona 5 earned many rave reviews stateside. (Including one from us!)

You can see the trailer for Persona 3: Dancing Moon Night above. It’s brief, and doesn’t provide any huge insight into its gameplay or story. But it’s nice to see the SEES crew looking all spiffy and up-to-date. It’s awful hard not to daydream about a Persona 3 remake for current-gen systems looking at these gorgeous images.

Here’s the trailer for Persona 5: Dancing Star Night. Get ready to throw some shapes and steal some hearts in Shinjuku with the crew from Shujin Academy!

We’re loving Joker’s balletic leaps and spins in Kamoshida’s Palace, and after a viewing or two, it’s nice to see how each of the characters has their own dance style that seems in keeping with their character. Ann’s moves are cheerful and energetic, while Ryuji’s got more of a breakdancing, street-inspired style. We can't wait to see what Yusuke and Futaba have got up their sleeves.

The trailers for both look gorgeous and fun, bringing back the toe-tapping rhythms of each game’s stellar soundtrack. These new additions to the Persona catalog should help pass the time for Persona fans already craving a Golden edition of P5.

What do you think of the announcement of Dancing Moon Night and Dancing Star Night? Did you enjoy the Persona 4 dance game? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
