A new expansion is coming to Planet Zoo this June 20. The Arid Animal Pack offers players a selection of animals from dunes, deserts, and dusty plains. This new content is going to be available through Steam for $9.99.
The Arid Animal Pack introduces new species that have adapted to some of the harshest and driest climates in the world. These are:
- Dromedary Camel
- African Crested Porcupine
- Black Rhino
- Addax
- Somali Wild Ass
- Sand Cat
- Dama Gazelle
- Desert Horned Viper
Aside from welcoming eight new intriguing species, players are also challenged to put their management skills to the ultimate test through a new Campaign Mode scenario. That's because socialite Tiffany Summers has arrived in the Arabian Desert and is more than determined to prove she has what it takes to handle the heat. Players now have to work and transform the plot of land received by Summers from her father and turn it into a magnificent animal oasis in preparation for the grand opening.
Update 1.14
In addition to the Arid Animal Pack, players can also look forward to Update 1.14 dropping on the same date. This free update adds Staff Flexicolour options for zoos, so players can customize the color combination of their staff's uniforms. The new options let them create custom color schemes for their favorite staff members through an individual info panel or choose different colors for each staff type via the Staff Overview screen.
The upcoming update also adds the new Scenic Camera Mode to the game to let players create smooth vista shots throughout their zoos. They just need to place the camera in the desired location and choose from some of the predefined camera behaviors such as spin, ellipse, spiral in, and spiral out. They can also adjust the zoom and movement speed of the camera to get cinematic views of specific parts of the zoo or the whole zoo.
