The three monthly free games from PlayStation Plus are getting refreshed yet again for April 2025, and it is available for all subscribers. That being said, there are limitations to some players who are playing on the PlayStation 4 as only two of these titles will be available for the previous-gen hardware.
However, for those who have the PlayStation 5, they are entitled to access all three of the free games slated for April.
PlayStation Plus April 2025 Free Games Unveiled
PlayStation has now unveiled the latest titles coming to the PS Plus subscribers to access for free, and its latest blog post reveals that these games will be available starting April 1.
According to the company, players may be able to download these upcoming free games to their consoles from April 1 to May 5, giving them plenty of time to decide on what to keep from the service.
All PlayStation Plus tiers, including the Premium, Extra, and Essential, are eligible to download the free games.
On the other hand, players are now given the last chance to download the previous March games from the service until March 31 only. This includes "Dragon Age: The Veilguard," "Sonic Colors Ultimate," and "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection."
'RoboCop: Rogue City' (PS5)
The iconic "RoboCop" franchise has transitioned over to video games and has been quite popular since then. Their latest title, "RoboCop: Rogue City," was released in 2023 and has been available exclusively to the PlayStation 5 and other current-gen platforms, which means that subscribers using the PS4 will not be able to play it.
Players are cast back into the streets of Old Detroit while playing as RoboCop, a half-man, half-machine policeman who is on the hunt against the bad guys of the city and protect the innocent from crime. The game's story takes place between the movies "RoboCop 2" and "RoboCop 3," which focuses on a new criminal conspiracy.
'Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth — Hacker's Memory' (PS4, PS5)
As the next installment of the franchise, "Digimon Story — Time Stranger," is still underway, fans are now given a chance to play "Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth — Hacker's Memory" for free on the PS4 and PS5 consoles via PS Plus.
Here, players get to go on an adventure as Keisuke Amazawa after being accused of a crime, and he will be thrust into the world of Digital Monsters to get to the bottom of the investigation and prove his innocence once and for all.
'The Texas Chain Saw Massacre' (PS4, PS5)
Lastly, PlayStation Plus takes players into a deep dive into one of the most prolific horror franchises in the world with the video game adaptation, "The Texas Chain Saw Massacre."
This third-person horror and thriller game captures the story based on the original slasher film from 1974, where players will get the chance to be part of the sinister Slaughter family or as one of their victims.
