Canceled PS5 Game 'Concord' Still Sells at a Premium on eBay Event If It's No Longer Playable

One of the shortest-lived on the PlayStation 5, "Concord," is still making waves in the industry as physical copies of the title are still being sold on eBay for premium prices.

It is important to note that "Concord's" physical copies no longer serve any purpose apart from joining one's collection as the game's servers have shut down. This means that the title is no longer playable.

'Concord' Sells at a Premium on eBay

Players may have lost money when they bought a physical copy of "Concord" and the game was subsequently shut down, but they are now turning this into a win. According to a new report from GameRant, eBay's platform is now blowing up with listings of "Concord's" PlayStation 5 physical copies that are sold at a premium.

The listings on eBay ask for as much as $2,250 for a sealed copy of "Concord's" physical game, with this being the most expensive pricing seen on the platform. It was revealed that prices range from $300 to $500from sellers based in the United States, with the $2,250-priced copy coming from Saudi Arabia.

That being said, most of the listings from the e-commerce platform for "Concord" only ask for $15 to $40.

Since last year's announcement that the game is being canceled after only being released weeks earlier, physical copies of the game already sold for significantly more than what PlayStation charged for it.

'Concord' Is No Longer Playable, Only a Collector's Item

Back when Sony canceled "Concord" last year, the company first took out its servers, and since this is an online shooter title, this rendered the game virtually unplayable.

These days, the physical disc may still be opened and inserted to PlayStation 5 consoles, but users will not get anything from it as it. When the game was canceled, Sony has automatically deleted the game's digital copies, which immediately rendered these as a waste.

Nevertheless, the company refunded those who purchased the game digitally. The same was done for those who purchased physical discs, but customers had to give the disc back before they were refunded.
