For Pokémon GO's Community Day in October, the featured Pokémon is Litwick. It's going to appear more frequently in the wild during the event, and trainers lucky enough get a chance to encounter a Shiny version. The Community Day next month is scheduled for October 15 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., local time.
During Community Day, those able to evolve Lampent, which is Litwick's evolution, can obtain a Chandelure that knows the Charged Attack Poltergeist.

For Community Day, the event bonuses that trainers can enjoy include:

- 2× Candy for catching Pokémon.
- 2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive XL Candy from catching Pokemon.
- Lure Modules activated during the event last for three hours.
- Incense activated during the event lasts for three hours.

Raid Battles
There will be Bonus Raid Battles on October 15 from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., local time. In particular, these are four-star Raid Battles where trainers go against Lampent. Once the four-star Raid Battle has been successfully completed, Litwick starts to appear in a 300-meter radius around the Gym that hosted the raid for 30 minutes. There's even a Shiny one to encounter for those who are lucky enough.

For October Community Day, trainers are invited to join the exclusive Special Research story, which is Field Notes: Trick of the Light. It can be accessed for $1.
Just a quick reminder for those new to the game, trainers can now buy and gift tickets to their friends. However, they need to get a Friendship level of at least Great Friends.
