Attention Pokémon GO trainers! Do you remember an event in the past that was all about Psychic-type Pokémon? That event is returning, and you won’t have to wait long. The Psychic Spectacular Event starts tomorrow, September 6, and ends on September 12.
This event marks the official debut of Mega Alakazam in the game through Mega Raids. Those lucky enough can even get the chance to encounter a Shiny version. Plus, Trainers who evolve Kadabra or catch Alakazam in Raids during the event can get an Alakazam that knows the Charged Attack Psychic.

Deoxys Raid Day
During the event, there’s also the Deoxys Raid Day on September 11 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., local time. This special Raid Day celebrates the Mythical Pokémon Deoxys. Deoxys is going to start appearing in Five-Star Raids in all of its forms. Those lucky enough could encounter a Shiny one.
Here are the details of this special Raid Day:
- All forms of Deoxys appearing more frequently in raids.
- Earn up to five additional daily Raid Passes by spinning Gyms.
- An increased chance of encountering Shiny Deoxys.
The Clefairy Commotion
Before the special Raid Day, trainers can also enjoy another special celebration but this time, it's about Fairy-type Pokémon. The Clefairy Commotion is on September 10 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., local time. It's going to have Clefairy appear more frequently in the wild. As always, there’s a chance to encounter a shiny version.
