It was only last Saturday when trainers got to enjoy March Community Day in Pokémon GO. However, Niantic doesn't want the excitement to die down by revealing the details for April 2023 Community Day. It's going to feature none other than the Happiness Pokémon Togetic. On April 15, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (local time), Togetic appears more frequently in the wild.
In addition, trainers able to evolve Togetic during the event or up to five hours after can obtain a Togekiss which has the Charged Attack Aura Sphere. Details of the Aura Sphere include:
- Trainer Battles: 100 power.
- Gyms and raids: 90 power.
Lots of Bonuses
Trainers know that whenever there is an event, bonuses are always present and for April 2023 Community Day, expect the following:
- 2× Candy for catching Pokémon.
- 1/4 Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed in Incubators during the event period.
- 2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokémon.
- Lure Modules activated during the event last for three hours.
- Incense activated during the event lasts for three hours.
- Does not include Daily Adventure Incense.
- Take a few snapshots during Community Day for a surprise.
That's not all. There's also a chance to get Togepi when hatching two-kilometer Eggs. The only condition is that these eggs have to be obtained during the event. Togepi hatched from these Eggs have the same chance of appearing as a Shiny Pokémon as Togetic that appear during Community Day.
Trainers should also be happy to know that they can enjoy one extra Special Trade for a maximum of two for the day. Unlike the other bonuses, this one is active until 10:00 p.m.
Bonus Raid Battles
Togetic is also appearing in four-star Battle Raids. Those able to finish a four-star Raid Battle against this Pokémon can encounter an additional Togetic appearing around the Gym that hosted the raid for 30 minutes. Those lucky enough could even encounter a Shiny one.
As a quick reminder, only trainers with Raid Passes or Premium Battle Passes can join these four-star Battle Raids. Remote Raid Passes can't be used for these Raid Battles.
