The latest Pokémon Go update is being rolled out for iOS and Android devices and Version 1.9 for iOS (0.39 for Android) will add more support for the Pokémon Go Plus.
In a short statement with patch notes, the official Pokémon Go website posted what exactly the upcoming update will have, which you can read below.
Capture location: The location where a Pokémon was caught will now be displayed on their information screen.
Pokémon GO Plus and Incense: Trainers can attempt to capture Pokémon they encounter from using Incense with the Pokémon GO Plus accessory.
Minor bug fixes
While there may not be much, the biggest change from the latest Pokémon Go update is allowing trainers to catch Pokémon that appear from incense. The Pokémon Go Plus only caught Pokémon that appeared naturally in the app but if someone placed an incense at a PokeStop and hordes of Pokémon appeared, the Pokémon Go Plus wouldn’t register it as appearing.
This is also the case if a trainer used incense on themselves, allowing for Pokémon to appear to them.
Version 1.9/0.39 of Pokémon Go has not yet released but will roll out in the coming days and we will update when it does.
The last update revealed the Trading Feature for Pokémon Go inside the data. Data miners found the the Training Feature inside the game. Information on how it will work was leaked and will likely appear in the game very soon.
