How do you sign up for the International Challenge in Pokémon Sun and Moon ?

First, log on to your account from the Pokémon Global Link (PGL) homepage and select Online Competitions in the main menu. You’ll then be able to read and accept the regulations on the PGL.

You’ll need a Pokémon Trainer Club account (if you don’t have one you can sign up for one, here) your own Pokémon Sun or Pokémon Moon video game, and a Battle Team of eligible Pokémon.

Once you’ve signed up for the International Challenge you’ll need to download your Digital Player ID within your Sun or Moon copy of the game. To do so, select Festival Plaza on the X menu in your game, select Battle, Visit the Battle Spot, and then Online Competition.

It needs to be noted that when you download your Digital Player ID, the lock on your Battle Team for any previous competitions will be removed.

The International Challenge online competition will have trainers compete in Double Battles with Mega Stones not being allowed. Also, the following Pokémon are not eligible for this competition: Cosmog, Cosmoem, Solgaleo, Lunala, Magearna, Necrozma and Zygarde.

Battles will begin Friday, Feb. 24 to Feb. 26.
