Pokémon Unite celebrates its first anniversary with a huge patch. The Anniversary Update implements a new mechanic where you can make your Pokémon stronger.
New System
The Pokémon Boost Emblem system is a new mechanic introduced in Pokémon Unite. Each Boost Emblem is based on a Pokémon and has three rarities (Bronze, Silver, Gold). Furthermore, it has nine color effects that provide different stat bonuses depending on which one you have attached. They are also stackable, meaning the more emblems of the same color you have, the higher the bonuses will be.
The different color effects are:
- Green: Special Attack
- Yellow: Movement Speed
- Red: Basic Attack Speed
- Blue: Defense
- White: HP
- Black: Cooldown Reduction
- Orange: Attack
- Purple: Sp. Def
- Pink: Tenacity/Hindrance Effect Duration
There’s only one way to get Boost Emblems in Pokémon Unite at this time, and that is through the Energy Rewards System.
Aside from the new mechanic, the new season of Pokémon Unite has begun. Play some ranked matches to get the special first-anniversary commemorative Holowear as a reward.
