The Power Season 3 finale, ‘In My Best Interest,’ is only days away and Starz has released two teasers previewing what’s to come. There’s a lot at stake in the finale, especially for Ghost. The feds are onto him, the man he believes he killed is secretly hanging out with his son, a deadly mobster is threatening to kill his entire family, and his best friend and wife have turned on him. With death lurking around every corner, who will be the next to die in the name of power?
The first promo starts with Ghost’s attorney telling him Tommy will eventually go down for Ruiz’s murder. He says, “If you’re on there,” meaning the wire Ruiz was wearing, “You’re going down.” Meanwhile, Ghost is planning a huge party to announce Truth going global. Milan asks Tommy to kill Ghost when the time comes.
“You’ve got the most to lose. You’ve got your family. You’ve got your club. You've got your reputation,” Greg pleads to Ghost, suggesting he’s confirmed Sandoval is the mole. It sounds like Greg could be offering Ghost a deal. Since Ghost is out of options when it comes to protecting his family from Milan, he should probably consider Greg’s offer.
In the second clip (exclusive to Paste Magazine), Tariq asks Kanan (he calls him Slim) what happened to his hand. Kanan tells him it’s a long story. Tariq then tells Kanan he should get to school, but Kanan interrupts and says he wants him to take a package to a man named Ray Ray. Reluctant at first, Tariq asks “What is it?” Kanan then says forget it, but Tariq grabs the package and asks where Ray Ray is.
Kanan’s motives concerning his budding friendship with Tariq remain unclear. Tariq is starting to really trust Kanan, unbeknownst to his father who still believes Kanan is dead. The synopsis also reveals Tasha will make an ‘unlikely alliance’ to save her family. Could this mean she’ll work with Angela to keep Ghost’s involvement in the Lobos murder under wraps?
Ghost races to retrieve evidence that could compromise both him and Tommy, while he must throw the party of his career at Truth to land the club deal with the Bassets. Greg makes a shocking discovery in his pursuit of the mole, with fateful consequences. Tasha forms an unlikely alliance in an attempt to save her family while Ghost executes his plan to take down Milan. But will Tommy make a move that will change everyone’s life forever?
The Power Season 3 finale airs Sept. 25 at 9p.m. on Starz.
