Developers of the third-person MOBA game Predecessor have made substantial changes to Phase in Patch v0.7, now available on PC.
Phase Changes
After updating to the latest version, players will notice that Phase's passive ability, Essence Catalyst, has a new effect. Instead of granting her increased attack speed after casting an ability, Essence Catalyst now restores 20 (+8 per level) (+10% Magical Power) health over three seconds. Linked allies receive the same amount of healing as well.
In addition, her Energy Lance now feels much better to use because the time it takes for her to start firing the beam has decreased by 43%. Furthermore, this ability can now be canceled earlier or as soon as the beam spawns (from 1.9 seconds down to just 0.6 seconds).
Hyperflux, Phase's ultimate ability, has also received major changes. For one, Omnivamp has been removed, which means that Phase and her linked ally no longer recover HP based on the damage dealt. On top of that, the attack speed buff provided by Hyperflux has decreased from 60/90/120 to 50/75/100, but this is because it now grants 30/50/70 ability haste for the duration. And lastly, the movement speed bonus granted by Hyperflux has been set to 25% on all levels instead of 10/15/20%. However, this bonus now decays over the duration of the ultimate.
According to the Predecessor dev team, the goal of these changes is to turn Phase into an enchanter with powerful single-target heals and enhancements.
Crest Changes
Patch v0.7 also implemented some balancing changes to Crests. The developers said that all crests in Predecessor have received a 50% decrease in healing and more equalization across completion times. The team plans to
add more emphasis on Crest's identity, and to get an idea about that, check out some of the noteworthy changes below.

- Attack Speed increased from 5 to 6.

- Physical Power Removed.
- Rending Strikes Scaling increased from 15% to 20%.
- Rending Strikes Ramping Damage Removed.
- Rending Strikes Cooldown decreased from 90s to 30s.

- Physical Power Removed.
- Lifesteal Increased from 5% to 8%.
- Pacifier
- Physical Power decreased from 20 to 10.
- Adrenalize Bonus Damage now occurs on any non-item/dot Physical Damage instead of just Basic Attacks.
- Rogue Crest
- Added 8 Physical Penetration.
- Physical Power Removed.
- Ability Haste Removed.
- Health restored on Ability Hit decreased from 4 to 3.
- Health restored on Unit Kill decreased from 6 to 4.
- Evolve Threshold decreased from 300 to 200.
- Assassin Crest
- Physical Power decreased from 12 to 8.
- Physical Penetration increased from 4 to 8.
- Ability Haste Removed.
- Health restored on Ability Hit decreased from 4 to 3.
