Sony Interactive Entertainment has a lot of games in the oven. They have just released their next-gen console, the PlayStation 5, with some amazing exclusives like Spider-Man Miles Morales, Demon’s Souls Remake, Sackboy: A Big Adventure, and the free Astro's Playroom. This doesn't mention the dozens of amazing games that you can play for ‘free’ via the Playstation Plus Collection
However, there is no such thing as too many games. What’s next? Which other games can we expect, and perhaps more importantly, when? There are several other highly anticipated games that Sony has announced, but have given no release date. These include Horizon: Forbidden West, Gran Turismo 7, God of War: Ragnarok, and many more.
Sony recently released a new trailer titled ‘New Worlds To Explore’ which was just a compilation of already announced PS5 games. However, this time they also mentioned the release date, or should I say release window, of several of these games.
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Demon’s Souls Remake are now available on PlayStation 5. These were the previously announced launch titles. However, other games are not so far away.
Gran Turismo 7, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, and Returnal are expected to launch in the first half of 2021. Horizon: Forbidden West will release during the second half of 2021. It was previously announced that God of War: Ragnarok will also launch in Late 2021.
That’s a lot of games in only one year. Do keep in mind that the release dates are not set in stone. Given the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak, we can very well expect a delay or two. Dozens of games have already fallen victim to such delays, so a few more won’t be surprising. Rest assured, there is not going to be a lack of games for you to enjoy on your powerful PlayStation 5.
So what do you think? Are you interested in any of these upcoming games? Have you already purchased your PS5 yet? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
