Good news to those looking for new ways to win. Update 22.2 for PUBG: Battlegrounds is adding a new weapon known as FAMAS to Care Package goods. This French-made assault rifle is both sleek and powerful and boasts a high firing rate that’s sure to pack a punch and more than guarantees that it's a force to be reckoned with in any combat situation. The FAMAS is a good choice for those who want to dominate the battle with a reliable AR.
Details of this new weapon include:
- Fire Modes: Single, Burst, and Full-Auto
- Can attach up to the 6x Scope.
- Ammo: 5.56 mm.
- Damage per shot: 39.
- Effective range: 400 m.
- Rate of fire: 900 RPM.
- Available modes.
- Spawns in Care Packages, Secret Rooms, Lab Camps, Supply Drops, and Pillar Boxes ONLY.
- Available on every map.
- Normal Matches, Ranked, Training Mode, Team Deathmatch, Custom Matches, Sandbox Mode (PC)
- Unavailable in Custom Match – Esports Mode.
AUG Balance Adjustment
The development team revealed they'll be implementing some balancing changes to the game's well-known weapons. One of these is AUG, which has so far been observed to have stabilized after the last update. However, it's also been noted that 5.56 mm AR weapons have limited options when compared to the diverse selection of 7.62 mm weapons. This is one of the reasons why FAMAS is coming to the game.
For AUG, here are some of the upcoming changes:
- AUG has been removed from Care Packages and will now be a world spawn weapon.
- Available on every map.
- Damage: 42 to 41
- Rate of fire: 700 to 750
- Bullet velocity: 940 m/s to 890 m/s
- Effective range: 90-500 to 60-450
- Recoil has been generally readjusted (slightly increased).
Lobby
Players should be happy to know that a tier system is added to Survival Mastery. Details include:
- Players may now move up a single tier and begin again from Level 1 every time they level up from Level 499.
- The maximum tier players can reach is Tier 5.
- Normal Reward
- Instead of the usual BP, players now receive a Supply Loot Cache per level up regardless of their tier.
- Receive up to 499 Supply Loot Caches max.
- Tier-Up Reward
- Receive a Survival Mastery Medal.
- The Medal is upgraded for each tier the player levels up.
