Rainbow Six Extraction, the next entry in the Rainbow Six franchise, is coming on September 16 to all major platforms, including PC, both current- and next-gen consoles, Amazon Luna, and Google Stadia. Extraction is a co-op multiplayer game where a team of three operators fights against an “evolved” alien threat.
The game is inspired by the time-limited event, Outbreak, from Rainbow Six Siege that took place a couple of years ago. It seems like the developer was testing the water with that event, seeing if there is a demand for a co-op game in the Siege community.
The second cinematic trailer of the game has been revealed. In the trailer, we saw Hibana getting captured and a team of three going out of their way to rescue her.
The developer also released a deep dive video that finally showed off the gameplay. We saw several enemy types, gameplay mechanics, abilities, and more. The official page for the game reveals that there will be 12 different maps with procedurally generated missions. You will be able to choose from 18 Rainbow Six operators, of which nine are from Rainbow Six Siege. The other nine operators haven't been revealed yet, but if I had to guess, then I am sure they will also be from Siege.
We also saw Tachanka in the trailer along with his old LMG. Maybe I can hear “LMG Mounted and Loaded” once again.
You can preorder Rainbow Six Extraction for $59.99 which will give the Standard Edition. A Deluxe Edition of the game is also available but for $79.99. The Deluxe Edition will come with several cosmetic packs and access to The Noxious Touch Pack, The Obscura Pack, and The React Strike Pack. That’s the one I would recommend if you are into cosmetics items. If you just wanna play the game, then Standard Edition is enough.
