Rainbow Six Siege's EU League 2020 just concluded its ninth playday and the results are here. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the matches have been held online. EU League 2020 had some really exciting matches to watch this week. We got to see Vitality destroy the number one seed, Rogue, on Kafe Dostoyevsky, and also rising team Tempra tie against Team Empire on Coastline.
BDS faced NaVi on Kafe Dostoyevsky, which was a really exciting game to watch for viewers. BDS outgunned their opponents with Stéphane "Shaiiko'' Lebleu and Bryan "Elemze" Tebessi having 12 and 15 kills respectively. It was amazing to see BDS countering NaVi just by brute force. The end result was 7-5 in favor of BDS, but if BDS were to beat NaVi with a better score difference, they could have taken the first seed for the EU League.
The most anticipated matchup from yesterday was Vitality vs Rogue. Vitality has been looking terrible for the past few playdays with their new roster change including players such as Fabian "Fabian" Hällsten and Valentin "risze" Liradelfo. That said, they were still able to dominate Rogue on Kafe Dostoyevsky with a dominating 7-2 score. Maybe this could be Vitality’s time to rise to the top.
Another impressive match to watch was Empire vs Tempra, which took place on Coastline. For a relatively new team who qualified from the Challenger League, Tempra has been showing improvement since their first playday and have even tied against teams such as Empire and G2. Tempra showed some aggressive gameplay against Team Empire, which caught Empire off guard and led to a 6-6 tie.
The four teams that have qualified for the Six Major so far are Rogue, BDS, G2, and Virtus.Pro.
