Spring has sprung! And if you have been keeping track with Ubisoft's Year 2 plans for Rainbow Six Siege, then you're expecting announcements for the new Hong Kong operators and map very soon. Ubisoft has yet to make any announcements regarding Siege Year 2 Season 2, but posts on reddit have shared some alleged leaks. Here's what we think we know:
Via redditor Klumpaen, a string of code leaked from the Rainbow Six Siege Technical Test Server (TTS). Data miners dissected the information to compile what we're about to share below:
The new R6 Siege Hong Kong operators are codenamed Caltrop and Dazzler. Caltrop is believed to be the defender and armed with a JS9 Chinese SMG. Meanwhile, Dazzler is an attack operator that may have a QBZ-95 Chinese assault rifle. We don't know if they're the real names yet, but Dazzler sounds way too corny.

As for unique abilities, the description hints Dazzler's grenade features "blind-spot," which could suggest a sort of ability that renders enemies blind over a duration. If this is true, then it's a really powerful ability that may make Glaz, who heavily relies on smoke grenades to amplify his thermo-optic sight, even more of a problem.
As for Caltrop's ability, it looks like we're dealing with a toxic smoke mine with possible cloaking abilities like Echo's Yokai drone. If we're looking at a trap that enemies cannot see, one could argue Smoke's role has become obsolete. In fact, one could even argue the new Hong Kong defender is more effective than Frost and Kapkan.
Finally the new Hong Kong map is possibly called Ocean Park, according to the test server intel. Ocean Park is a popular aquatic theme park in real life, so it should be a very exciting and pretty map if this is true.
There's no release date yet for Rainbow Six Siege Year 2 Season 2 DLC, but we expect to learn more in the weeks ahead.
