Rainbow Six Siege's LATAM League 2020 stage two concluded its fifth playday and the results are here. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the matches have been held online. The LATAM League had some really exciting matches to watch this week, with all the matches played as a best of two format.
The best matchup for the fifth playday was between NiP and Team oNe. The first map was played on Consulate, which is a frag-heavy map. It was obvious a frag-heavy team like NiP would be able to take Coastline with ease. NiP were dominant throughout the match and they managed to only drop three rounds in the process. The star of the first map was Gustavo "Psycho" Rigal as it seemed like he was a one many army for NiP, carrying them with 19 kills. NiP took the first map with a 7-3 scoreline.
The second map was played on Kafe Dostoyevsky, which is a utility-heavy map. The viewers thought Team oNe would have a better chance here as Kafe revolves more around strategies. However, NiP had other plans, as they shut down their opponents 7-1, proving they can frag and be strategic at the same time.
Another exciting match to watch was between Team Liquid and INTZ. The first map was played on Oregon, which is a defender-sided map. Liquid was able to take the first three rounds of attacks with ease, but then INTZ started reading Liquid, which allowed INTZ to take a few rounds. On Liquid’s defense, Luccas "Paluh" Molina started fragging the opponents with Jager. Paluh ended with eight kills on the scoreboard after the rehost. Liquid took the first map with a 7-5 scoreline.
The second map was played on Consulate, which is an attacker-sided map. Liquid is known to be comfortable on Consulate and we all thought it would be an easy victory for Liquid. But INTZ did their homework on Liquid, which made it super hard for Liquid on their attacks and defense. Liquid was not allowed to retaliate as they were hunted down on their defense, INTZ played the second map really well. and won with a 7-3 scoreline.
