The Six Invitational 2021 Latin American Qualifiers Grand Finals between FURIA and Estral Esports has concluded. The matches were played in a best of three series with another SI spot on the line. The best part about watching Latin American games were the casters, who were extremely fun to listen to.
The first map of the series was Clubhouse. Daniel "Novys" Novy had an insane Round 1 as he managed to get a quad-kill with Ash by just walking down the main stairs. Novys timed his push really well as his teammates were trying to execute while the enemies were distracted. However, Estral played excellently and was able to take the map after overtime. The scoreline was 8-6 in favor of Estral.
The second map, Oregon, was another frag fest. The match went all the way to the final round. But FURIA took the map away from Elstral with an 8-7 scoreline.
The decider map was Theme Park, and it showed better fights than the previous maps. Furia played amazing on the attack using frag-heavy operators like Ash and Zofia. These operators allowed Furia to be more flexible on entries, which helped them take the first half with a 4-2 scoreline. Furia’s performance in the first half was commendable since Theme Park is a defender-sided map.
Furia on the defense led to better performances, which made it hard for Estral to attack. In the final round, Luiz Augusto "Miracle" da Silva Abrantes clutched a 1v3 situation using Smoke, which allowed Furia to win the series with a 7-4 scoreline.
