Rainbow Six Siege's North American League 2020 just concluded its final playday and the results are here. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the matches have been held online. The North American League had some really exciting match-ups to watch this playday, with the finals being played in a best-of-five format.
The final match for the North American League was between DarkZero and TSM. The first match was played on Kafe Dostoyevsky, which is the most strategy-heavy map in Rainbow Six Siege. Both teams are very well versed with this map and have also played each other in the Major qualifiers. The first map went 7-4 in the favor of DZ, with Paul "Hyper" Kontopanagiotis being the most essential player for DarkZero, carrying his team with 10 kills after rehost.
The second map was played out on Oregon, which is another strategy-heavy map. The score went 7-2 in the favor of DarkZero, with DZ going 6-0 flawless on their defense and only dropping two rounds on their attack. This time around, Tyler "Ecl9pse" McMullin carried his team with 10 kills, playing operators such as Nomad and Mute. DarkZero was able to take the series with ease, as they had a map advantage. This meant that DZ only had to win the first two maps. It was unfortunate we weren’t able to see more from TSM, as they have so much potential.
The finals would have been more exciting if TSM were able to take DZ to all five maps, showing us how to play every map and how to counter different squads of operators.
