A new port of ReCore was quietly announced by Microsoft this week and fans hoping to see the game released somewhere other than Xbox One can look forward to seeing ReCore on PC later this year.

Not much has been said about ReCore, the action adventure game from Comcept and Armature Studio, since it was unveiled during Microsoft’s E3 2015 press conference. But a new round of marketing has confirmed Xbox One owners won’t be the only ones playing ReCore when it debuts later this year.

Given the many delays to Mighty No. 9, the debut offering from Comcept, it probably shouldn’t come as much of a shock that we haven’t heard much about ReCore since last summer. After all, those who helped funder the studio’s first project on Kickstarter probably wouldn’t appreciate it if Comcept gave the impression it had turned its attention elsewhere. Unfortunately, that’s left fans of the ReCore announcement trailer with a bit of a news vacuum. Until now.

In a new post on the Xbox newswire, corporate vice president of marketing Mike Nichols mentions a PC version of ReCore alongside the previously announced Xbox One release. Both are currently listed as 2016 releases, though a specific timeline is not given, alongside many of Microsoft’s other marquee releases for 2016. The list also includes Crackdown 3, Gears of War 4, Halo Wars 2 and Quantum Break.

Sadly, there’s nothing else to be learned about ReCore at this time. There’s still no word on when fans might get to see gameplay for the first time or what sort of story Comcept is looking to tell with ReCore. In the interim, those unfamiliar with ReCore (or just anxious to learn more about the game) can take a few minutes to check out the announcement trailer. Then head down to the comments section and let us know if you’re planning to pick up a copy of ReCore on PC and/or Xbox One.

ReCore is being developed for Xbox One and PC. The game is currently scheduled to debut in 2016.
