If you have been wanting to get The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's physical retail version on PlayStation 5, then your wait might soon be finally over. A new leak suggests that the game is set for retail alongside a potential release window. Read on to know more about it!
The leak came to light after a retailer prematurely posted a listing for the physical version of the critically acclaimed game from CD Projekt Red. So far, the game has only been made available as a digital release and comes with a deluge of free upgrades for those who already own the PlayStation 4 version, though the leaked retail listing also suggests another option for players.
So, When Will The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Retail Release on PS5?
The retail listing posted online reveals that the PS5 version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will release on January 26, 2023. According to the listing, now removed, the highly celebrated game will retail for 159.90 Polish Zloty (around $36), and it will arrive as a “Complete Edition” which comes with tons of exciting stuff.
For starters, the Complete Edition will include a copy of the game and all of its previously released updates and DLCs (Heart of Stone, Blood and Wine, etc.). There will also be items tied into the controversial Netflix live-action series and ray tracing support. Moreover, the said edition will also feature a collection of mods designed to help improve and optimize the game for better gameplay.
Other bonus items included in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition are as follows:
- Stickers
- Map
- The Witcher Universe: Compendium
The upcoming release of the game at retailers is not really surprising at all. Keep in mind that a release date was previously leaked courtesy of a UK retailer. While it is true that the title missed its earlier leaked date (December 9, that is), the digital version did manage to arrive albeit five days later on December 14.
As of writing, developer CD Projekt Red has yet to comment on the leak. Although this still remains unofficial, there is a possibility that the leaked release window is true. After all, the developers would not decide to remove the retail listing.
