We all know that Resident Evil 4 Remake had big shoes to fill, and from the looks of it, seems like it does. The much-anticipated remake will launch worldwide on March 24; however, several critics have already got their hands on it. This is what they think of the title.
If we go by the Metacritic score, RE4 Remake is the best remake by Capcom. Its score has surpassed the scores of both RE2 and RE3 remakes. Out of 97 critics, only two reviews gave the game a mixed rating of 7/10, the rest are all eights, nines, and 10s. The game currently has 93 Metascore, which in comparison, isn’t too far from the original game’s score of 96.

Resident Evil 4 Remake will arrive on PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. Unfortunately, Xbox One players won’t be able to play the much-anticipated title. A version for the PS VR 2 is also in development. More details about it should be revealed soon.
Possible Future Games
As RE4 is now out of the way, fans of the series have no idea what is next that they should look forward to. We know that Ethan Winters's story is finished in RE Village, and he won’t be returning for the next mainline game. Capcom could tell a completely new story for RE9 or bring back fan favorites like Claire and Chris Redfield, Leon S. Kennedy, or Ada Wong.
Capcom is also silent about any future remakes or if there will be any. The Japanese developer could remake the original Resident Evil 1, the underrated Code Veronica, or the prequel RE Zero. We just hope Resident Evil 5 isn’t the next title to get a lift-up as that’s when the series became action-oriented instead of horror.
