The point-and-click adventure game Return to Monkey Island is finally available on PC and Nintendo Switch. This is the sixth game in the Monkey Island franchise and picks up on the story of Guybrush Threepwood at the end of 1991’s Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge.
It’s been years since Guybrush Threepwood last fought in a battle of wits against his nemesis, the zombie pirate LeChuck. Meanwhile, his true love Elaine Marley has turned her focus away from governing, with Guybrush himself being adrift and unfulfilled, especially since he never found the Secret of Monkey Island.
At the same time, the hip and young pirate leaders led by Captain Madison have managed to shuffle the old guard from power and this resulted in Melee Island taking a turn for the worse.
