The final DLC for Final Fantasy XVI is finally here and available for the PlayStation 5. What was started with Echoes of the Fallen now goes on the final stage with The Rising Tide.
This latest DLC unlocks a new story that everyone can enjoy. There are also new battles, weapons, sidequests, and accessories, to name a few. Players can look forward to gaining new Eikonic abilities. They also get to explore a new area in Mysidia and fight against the legendary water Eikon known as Leviathan the Lost. The new DLC also introduces a new end-game content through the Kairos Gate. In this one, players get the chance to take on 20 stages of intense scored and ranked battles against waves of enemies.
By the way, those bought The Rising Tide DLC or the Expansion Pass get to receive special bonus items like the reimagined version of the "Curtana," the signature weapon used by none other than the Warrior of Light in Final Fantasy XIV. They can also get the "Torn from the Heavens" and the "Through the Maelstrom" Orchestrion Rolls, both of which can be played as background music in the hideaway.

Final Fantasy XVI introduces players to a new story that's set in the Final Fantasy universe. This epic dark fantasy takes place in Valisthea. This is a land that's been blessed in the light of the Mothercrystals. However, the peace it has experienced has started to falter with the spread of the Blight which has also threatened to destroy the dominions. The fate of the land now lies on the hands of the Eikons, who are mighty summoned beasts, and their Dominants, men and women who have been blessed with the ability to call upon and wield them.
The story focuses on the warrior Clive Rosfield, who's been given the title of "First Shield of Rosaria." He has promised to protect his younger brother Joshua, the Dominant of the Phoenix, Eikon of Fire. It won't be long though when he's going to be caught up in a great tragedy and swears revenge on the Dark Eikon known as Ifrit.
