The Double Dragon DLC for River City Girls 2 just got an official release date and will introduce a variety of new content starting on Nov. 12, 2024.
The news was announced by developer WayForward and details were included in the game's Steam page. The Double Dragon DLC will introduce brothers Billy and Jimmy Lee who are coming out of their dojos.

The duo will join River City Girls 2's roster of playable characters and are described as distinctive fighters. The studio said that the brothers are ready to throw down with powerful punches, kicks, slams, and special attacks.
These moves include the duo's trademark attacks, such as the Hurricane Kick and Rising Knee. Billy and Jimmy are fully integrated into the game's story mode and come complete with full voiceovers. The premium DLC will also introduce an epic new vocal song as well as a new dojo master, according to Gematsu.
The content of the Double Dragon DLC for River City Girls 2 includes voiceovers by Dan Avidan for Billy and Arin Hanson for Jimmy. It will also feature a new vocal song that was performed by the two along with music made by RCG series composer Megan McDuffee.
Billy and Jimmy Lee have been two of the most requested characters to come to River City Girls 2 since their original debut in 1987. On top of the two new characters and other additions, the Double Dragon DLC also includes other content.
These are an all-new Double Dragon-themed motion comic, two new shops, new accessories, and many more. The developer plans to reveal more details about the DLC closer to its official release, Nintendo Everything said.
River City Girls 2 Update
The arrival of Billy and Jimmy Lee adds to River City Girls 2's already expansive roster of playable characters. There are currently six individuals that players can choose from and the game itself has eight unique regions.
River City Girls 2 also has a four-player co-op, online gameplay, a variety of weapons, challenging bosses, and RPG-like character growth. To add to these, players can call on various assists to help them in battle and buy and equip a range of items and accessories.
The open-world beat 'em-up game was developed by WayForward and published by Arc System Works. The latter is known for the fighting game Guilty Gear Strive.
River City Girls 2 puts players inside a world of pixel-art graphics with an anime-style intro while showcasing a beautiful, critically acclaimed soundtrack, according to Go Nintendo.
