Adventure RPG Morning Men from game studio Pixel Federation has confirmed a Nov. 22 release date on Steam after a successful Steam Greenlight campaign. You can check out Morning Men's stylish, promising trailers below:

In a press release, Morning Men’s blend of adventure and RPG was described as follows:

Morning Men blends an out-of-this-world story with point-and-click adventuring and turn-based JRPG-style combat. Each character has his or her own traits, which can be changed based on your decisions made throughout your adventure. Help, hurt, or even ruin one of your companions lives by either masterfully or carelessly picking your next narrative step.”

Morning Men is episodic and story-driven. With bright colors, comic book-style dialogue boxes and a pop-art, steampunk look and feel, Pixel Federation cites Wizards (1977) and The Fifth Element (1997) as inspirations for character art and moving comics as inspiration for the powerful visual style. Morning Men’s creators promise that “complex branching narratives” and “character interactions” are the game’s bread and butter.

Morning Men’s Steam Greenlight page explains the plot:

“The story begins with a young woman named Luditte, a citizen of Citadel City which is under the total theocratic rule of the Copper Hand. Life in The City is tough; the Hand controls everything, resources are scarce and advanced technology is outlawed. And yet, life in the city is still preferable to fighting for survival in the wastelands that surround the last refuge of humanity.

Luditte is forced to cast aside the protection of The City and flee when she is branded a heretic for associating with an AI named Jasper. Chased through the wild wastelands by agents of the Copper Hand, Luditte must uncover answers if she is to survive and perhaps even see a new day rise.”
